wish: foresee low account balance warnings

Would you like to consider setting low Account Balance warnings, so that when an account is getting low, you are warned to transfer in funds before the next bill payment causes you to over draw and incur charges.

What I have in mind is to set a new account limit warning amount.
Then on the account list, the amount will be in orange, maybe with a warning icon.

By the way on what balance do you expect a warning: bank? today?

Thanks for the response, I must admit I hadn't given this much thought, as to how to impliment, mainly because I noticed (When I added a new account recently) that you have a low balance setting...which is fine if you open Homebank daily.

However I have three other accounts for bills into which I pay a small but regular set amount, to cover the years bills, but at certain times of the year many bills come out and overdraw the account until the payments catch up...

So I think something like...

Have an option on accounts to assess the balance over the next 30 days (pre deducting scheduled payments ahead of schedule) and pop up an advisory warning that unless other funds are added the account will over draw. maybe even have a 30, 60 or day Advance process option

I hope this makes sense, and if it is not an easy thing to implement then I'll just have to be more responsible and run your excellent software more often, not just monthly on receipt of my bank statement :-)

After thinking about it again, setting an accurate algorithm will be complex so I do suggest you go for a more often opening of HB.

I suppose I was thinking of an optional background running tray icon. That popped up when a DD reduced your balance past a set low. But yes I can open HB more often. Thanks for your efforts so far. 😊
