Bug Description

Looks like Holidays scope stopped working after OTA-13 (BQ E5).

It says:
"
Sorry!
Location data must be enabled.
"

Earlier it worked with Location off, and now it does not work even with Location On as asked (with GPS, WiFi and cellular network info).

Hi Vincas,

Sorry you are having this problem and thanks for reporting the issue!

This is most likely a location related issue, not a holidays scope issue.

There may be an issue [1] with location detection after install of the update.

The fix may be to power off the phone, leave it powered off for a couple of minutes, and restart it.

Please try this and add a comment to this bug with the result.

Thanks,
Kyle

Looks like it simply needs actual GPS fix. It shows holidays if I keep location on, waiting some time and making some refreshes.

Is this behavioral change? I was kinda sure that Holidays scope showed holidays with Location off (becose I had set it always off, except when I needed GPS navigation for uNav), maybe using IP address or some cached value maybe, could something like that? Though correct me if I'm wrong.

Hi,

It needs a location, which is provided to the scope from the shell. The location can come from GPS or from deduction from your IP address. Without location enabled generally and enabled for the scope, the scope does not show holidays because holidays depend on your location.

Looks like all is working.

Changed in holidays:
