Bug Description
I'm sure you noticed this already, this bug report is just kind of a reminder:
Some exported functions don't use prefixes while some do (hip_, ...), but even then they're not consistent (hip_fw_ versus hipfw_).

We need to find a convention and make the prefix _very_ clear in the HACKING document. As always, the boy-scout rule applies.
We should actually have a list of issues for everybody to look out for.
