Bug Description

Its a nuisance to have to set the timeout on every update/create call - it would be much more convenient to set it once in the stack and not have to remember to set it from the command line every time.

The timeout value set in create will be stored and re-used for update if no timeout is specified in the update args. At least that is what the code indicates its doing.
