Bug Description
The shell utility (shell.py) ignores when an optional arg is not provided or not correctly formed, where as OSC plug-in raise error message. Vahid noticed it while reviewing https:/
As digging in into it, I found that OSC enforces it. It makes sense to enforce it for all args in general.
