FWIW, hardy 0.2.2 is available from my PPA.

It is a backport request to Hardy, not Jaunty

FWIW, after reading the dependencies of the Jaunty package (0.3.4-1) and verifying that all of them were met in my hardy (I have -backports and -updates enabled), I pinned Jaunty version, directly installed the binary and it is working nicely... my guess is that simply throwing the Jaunty source package into hardy-backports (and I suspect intrepid-backports also) and building it should work out of the box.

Just my 2c.
