I'm confirming this one. Successfully builds and installs in Hardy chroot. Version tested specifically: pavucontrol_0.9.6+svn20080426-1ubuntu1

Is it feasible to get the crash fix into an SRU first? Backports is about new features. Things like major bug fixes should go into hardy-updates.
