Bug Description

When trying to open a .wmf file, there is no "open with" option, and the "open" option leads to an error message. Gimp is not able to edit this format, but at least to read it. Nautilus is also creating a thumb for the file, so it's a bit frustrating not to be able to open it. "Open" should run Gimp in my opinion. Or it should maybe appear in the "open with..." with a mention like "view only" or "read only".

This is NOT related to bug 14420, in which WMF files cannot be opened with Image Viewer.

I can open the attached wmf file (and others) just fine with GIMP 2.6.3 (Intrepid-backports) and 2.4.6 (Hardy).

I will close this bug.

Apologizes for closing the bug. It seems to be fixed only on Intrepid, not on hardy. So I will restore the "confirmed" status.

the bugs can be closed when they are fixed in the current version, an hardy task can be opened if a backport is required
