Bug Description

Hello,

Clicking Files, moving the main GWoffice window and clicking Files again, gives another Files Search window. This layers all long presumably for as long as the user wishes to go around the screen.

OS Version: Ubuntu 12.04 64bit 5.12-0ubuntu1.1
Application Version: GWoffice 0.1 Version: 0.1-0~36~precise1

This is annoying because there is no obvious way to close the files list until the use closes the whole application.

Could you make a quick screencast of this? The popover should be destroied once you move the window.. (or are you running gnome-shell?)

I do have gnome-shell installed as I prefer the work flow for working in but I did not have it running as I was planning on run some videos. As I don't have a fantastic video card, I use Unity 2d for video use currently have Unuty 2D.
Why would it make a difference?
I'll go back and see if it makes a difference between this and GS.

Same in GS but I think I have got this sorted it a little better.

If you click immediately away from the search window,
then drag the main window away it then seems to have the problem (not always, but most of the time).
However if you click back onto the search window to give focus to it,
then go to then main window it closes the search list.

One thing I didn't notice before is that selecting the on/off function closes the window, but that is not clear or (in my view) ideal.

Hm.. metacity doesn't like us here (GS and unity2d use both metacity as a base, in case you didnt know..), they don't give focus to a window that has just been mapped, so the focus-out event won't be called when you move the mainwindow for example, since it never had focus.
I fixed this so far that you will only be able to create a single popover at a time, but you still have to give it focus once before it can close.

In WMs like Gala or Compiz it will just work.

It sort of works, but now that the window is gone, I can't get it back.

Click the search button once to get it up
Click on the main window and drag it away a little
The Search window appears to disappear properly
Click on the Search button, nothing happens.

I guess the original code from the popover kicked in, which hides the popover instead of destroying it. I catch this case now too.

Build 53 (possibly sooner - haven't tried it till today) seems to have the single window. While not tracking the main window looks a little odd, I can live with that. :)
Thanks.
