Retweets from twitter get cropped

Retweets from twitter get cropped so it's not possible to click on a link if the link is at the end of the tweet
To see the problem better I will attach two screenshots. One from my gwibber client and the other from the twitter web site with the retweeted tweet.

when you retweet you know there is also an addition of 'RT @username' so
that also takes a little space

This means the twitter API only sends the cropped string and there is no solution to change this behavior?

The twitter API sends the original tweet as well as a retweet. The twitter web site displays the original tweet, but gives credit to the retweeter.

Anyway, I posted a possible patch on the bug below:
