Bug Description

Binary package hint: gwibber

When I attempt to authorize with Twitter, the Twitter authorization page appears in French. This is the message that appears:

Une application souhaite accéder à votre compte
L'application Ubuntu conçue par Ubuntu requiert l'autorisation d'accéder à, et mettre à jour vos données sur Twitter. Vous n'utilisez pas Twitter ? Inscrivez-vous et rejoignez la conversation !
Nom d'utilisateur ou E-mail:
Mot de passe:

The authorization appears to succeed when my Twitter credentials are entered. (Gwibber doesn't actually receive any tweets, but I suspect that is a different bug...)

This user appears to be having the same issue: http://identi.ca/furicle

As I posted in my duplicate bug 630305, I have the same problem.

I checked Language Support and the order of my languages is:
    English (Canada)
    English
    ...

Is Gwibber assuming Canada == French?

I tried setting up Gwibber with Twitter on a LiveCD, but it doesn't ask me to authorise.

I just noticed that while the authorization page for Twitter is in French, the page for Identi.ca is in English.

I guess Omer is not Canadian, and presentation language is of low importance to anyone outside of the maintainer's locale?
