Bug Description

I think Gwibber is coming along amazingly well. But one thing annoys me, all of those facebook application/game updates that get posted! No this not Gwibber's fault, but I would like a way to block those updates. Maybe add an entry in the upper right hand options menu, name it "Block (FarmVille, PetVille, FishVille.... etc) Updates" or something similar. Maybe even let us block certain friends updates from showing up in gwibber. If you have ever used the yoono Firefox add on they have this feature under the more menu.

Maybe this is already planned, but I think this would be a great addition. Thank you

This is certainly something that is really annoying in facebook. If gwibber had such option is would be really great

I agree. Without a way to block these kind of unwanted posts, gwibber becomes too painful to use. Looking forward to a version that helps block them.

Nice program, but useless without a way of sorting out games or even some people.

Would also like to have an easy way to block status messages from applications/persons that are not interesting to me. For now I always log into facebook, block the application/person there, exit gwibber, delete gwibber_messages from couchdb and restart gwibber; should become easier ;-)

I agree with the previous posters and want to add, that it would be best, if Apps already blocked via Facebook would also be blocked using Gwibber. Since some want to filter only a Selection of Apps and some (I assume) would prefer to see no Apps at all it'd need Options like:
Block Apps blocked via Gwibber
Block Apps I Blocked via Facebook.com
Block both
Block all Apps

These Blocking Options might also include certain Friends instead of Apps

Plus-points if there would be a button next to posts where you can block like on facebook, that is:
Block User
Block App

Something more specific and not currently offered by facebook would be:
Block App used by User
or
Block all Apps used by User

Since there might be people interested in some apps by some of their closest friends, but not by some others. But that's hypothetical.
