I see that the very latest Bazaar revision let set an automated URL shortening system, but it doesn't allow to choose which one to use: http://is.gd/ creates 18-characters URIs, but – if I remember well – it doesn't make use of permanent redirection [301], while TinyURL does (although it outputs 25-characters ones). IMHO, it could be interesting to let the user choice which service to use for URL shortening — and I'm sure that TinyURL libraries are available for Ubuntu! |
