Undefined LC_ALL, gwibber doesn't retrieve messages

When LC_ALL is undefined ( LC_ALL="" ), gwibber fails to retrieve messages

Setting LC_ALL to my locale (pt_PT.utf8) fixed that problem temporarily. Gwibber should fallback to LC_ALL="C" if LC_ALL is undefined.
