Bug Description

Ubuntu 12.10 i386, indicator-messages v12.10.4

I have gwibber-preferences set to only notify me about replies or direct messages, but indicator-messages causes the Messaging Menu to display the blue "New Message" icon when any messages are received. I do not see any way to effect this setting, but I should only have to do it once, and in gwibber-preferences makes the most sense to me.

That's not true, the messaging menu will only turn blue if an application specifically requests it. This is a bug in gwibber, which shouldn't request it if the "only notify for direct messages" preference is checked.

affects: indicator-messages → gwibber
