Bug Description

When copying a folder with files in it to a WebDAV share using Nautilus, I get the error message "target file already exists".

In the access.log of the Apache Webserver there are two entries for "MKCOL foldername":

93.104.122.105 - andy [25/Mar/2009:19:39:29 +0100] "MKCOL /…/…/Daten/religionen/ HTTP/1.1" 201 415 "-" "gvfs/1.0.2"
93.104.122.105 - andy [25/Mar/2009:19:39:29 +0100] "MKCOL /…/…/Daten/religionen/ HTTP/1.1" 405 461 "-" "gvfs/1.0.2"

Furthermore the Apache error.log complains for each file that is in the source folder "File does not exist: …"

Adding an empty folder works, but then there's only one MKCOL entry in the log.

Copying the files after adding the folder works too, because the folder is created with the first MKCOL.

I'm using Ubuntu 8.10, Nautilus 2.24.1, and gvfs 1.0.2

Thanks for help.

Same problem for me : sometimes it refuses to copy a folder saying the target already exists. And then i have to click "ignore" and so the copied folder is empty.
It is not usable.

Thank you for taking the time to report this bug and helping to make Ubuntu better. A new version of GVFS is available in both Lucid and Maverick and we are wondering if this is still reproducible in any of those versions, May you please test and give us of feedback about it? Thanks in advance.

Servus Pedro.

Thanks for taking care of this.

I got Lucid installed and don't have troubles like that anymore.

I just copied a folder structure to my WebDAV share, and in the logs there's only one MKCOL for each folder.
