Bug Description

I have some bind mounts to use directories of a mounted hard drive for the "Music" and "Vidoes" directories of my home directory. Since the update to 12.10 beta, the bind mounts are shown as devices in the unity launcher. Clicking them doesn't generate any response. I think the bind mounts must not be displayed in the launcher.

Removing them from the launcher works. They don't show up again, even after a reboot.

Hey can you provide me the steps to reproduce the bug? I've just done mount --bind ... but I can't reprdouce the problem here.

The entries in the launcher appeared after writing the mounts into the fstab and reboot.

The four bind mounts to music, videos, downloads and pictures appeared in the launcher. e.g. bind mount of "/mnt/some-hdd/pictures" at "~/Pictures". Other directories as "~/.wine" or "/tmp" didn't appear in the launcher.

I can partially confirm this bug but for the all directory names. Though this is not a unity bug (nautilus has the same issue too...).
