Bug Description

When restoring the Gufw window from the try after minimizing the window don't return to its position on screen. It returns directly to the top left corner.
I think it will be nice to keep the last position.

Yes, GTK doesn't preserve the position by default (I had this issue in my programs too). Would be nice to see how to solve this

By minimize we mean when you click on the icon tray. So not minimize when
you click on the _, but on the icon tray.

Well, I will study it :O
I know that Gnome not save the position of windows.
Compiz has got an option for it.

Some programs as Firefox save the position manually, but by defect the programs not save the position in window :O

I confirm the problem but I do not consider this as a bug but rather as an enhancement :-)

In fact not all gtk programs
programs written in C does preserve window position after closing and minimzing to system tray like pigdin gajim emesene and so on. but python programs does not do the same
as many ubuntu tools are written in python they have this problem if gufw was written in C it maybe easy to fix it

No, that is because those programs work around for this.

My C program doesn't come back in the proper position either.

You can see this "bug" in action by doing this simple steps:

1- Open Gufw
2- Move the window to another position
3- Click on the tray icon to minimize to tray
4- Click on the tray icon to show Gufw again. The window would have moved to its original position.
