2017-11-20 16:39:33 Phil description Hi Gufw developers, Feature Request to enable or disable all incoming access using existing rules, profiles, custom tray indicator. First, thank you very much for providing this wonderful GUI desktop application for ufw for everyone to use. FYI: I am using Linux Mint KDE 18.2 based on Ubuntu 16.04 and Linux Mint KDE 17.3 based on Ubuntu 14.04. I have been thinking about this for a long time. 1. It would be really nice to have a checkbox option to disable or enable all incoming access for all existing rules which of course means remembering the current rules. This might be considered part of a profile as well. 2. Using firewall profiles with various options, like create new, open, edit (modify or change), delete, view history, etc... 3. Providing an always visible system tray panel icon that works with Gnome/GTK and or KDE systems with mouse over customizable information. My idea is to use a "Stop Light" (Traffic light) icon, where "Red" means firewall is disabled and or there are firewall rules that allow incoming access, Yellow means there are mixed firewall rules that allow incoming and outgoing firewall rules, and "Green" means there are no incoming firewall rules allowed. Optional or customizable flashing colored lights for activity, with pop-up alerts for intrusion detection (multiple failed login attempts). Best regards to all of you and yours, Phil phd21 Hi Gufw developers, Feature Request to enable or disable all incoming access using existing rules, profiles, custom tray indicator. This might be considered part of a profile as well. It would also be great to have another check box option or system tray indicator option (right click), see # 3 below, for basically turning off (blocking) all incoming and outgoing Internet traffic until user re-enables that for when away from the computer. 2.
