Bug Description

Unity control centre - as its name suggests, should be a one stop shop to control all aspects of the opertaing system - like the control panel of windows or the system settings of KDE. Yet , options for managing
1. Startup Applicaions
2. Firewall
3. Users and Groups
are missing.

Startup Applications is already shipped with Ubuntu, it can be added easily. And adding GUI options for Gufw(Firewall) and for editing Users and Group settings shouldnt be more than 15 MB.

Adding these options will add a lot more value to an LTS release like 14.04. It will make the OS more complete.

Could you please file new bugs for issues 1 and 3 (you should always file a bug for each issue). I have a users panel and I'm not sure what you mean by startup applications.

summary: - include startup applications and gufw in the unity control center
+ Firewall settings do not show in Unity control center
no longer affects: unity-control-center (Ubuntu)

Hi Robert,

I will file new bugs for 1 and 3. "Startup Applications " or "Startup
Application Preferences" allows you to edit which application should start
during login for each user. The GUI is already present in default ubuntu
installation. One small change should be enough to put it in the Unity
Control Center.
