Bug Description
Binary package hint: gucharmap
In the zoom window, gucharmap displays the name of the font where it found a
glyph. I would really appreciate to have a list of all the fonts providing the
glyph, and a preview of the corresponding version.
It can currently done by selecting each font in turn in the font selection
menu, and looking at the zoom window, but this is a tedious operation, which
can be automated.
This feature request was made in Gnome's gucharmap, but nothing has been done about it.

The patch looks substantial - https:/
I'm bumping it over to here, maybe the ubuntu community complete this patch and backport it.

The issue that you reported is one that should be reproducible with the live environment of the Desktop CD of the development release - Oneiric Ocelot. It would help us greatly if you could test with it so we can work on getting it fixed in the next release of Ubuntu. You can find out more about the development release at http:// www.ubuntu. com/testing/ . Thanks again and we appreciate your help.
