Bug Description

Binary package hint: gedit

Control+Tab does not cycle between multiple documents open in tabs in a single instance of gedit. This is a fairly standard binding for this key combination (e.g. Firefox, Windows MDI).

Thanks for you report, that's like a gtk+ issue. In gedit you can use ctrl+alt+pgUp/pgDown for switching tabs. Re assigning to gtk+ for now.

It would be nice to solve this along with bug 389873 (Inconsistent: Opening new tab in Nautilus, Gedit and Firefox) and get tab behaviour consistent along all apps.

There is a patch for this on gedit-list:
http://mail.gnome.org/archives/gedit-list/2005-December/msg00010.html
(which unfortunately conflicts with the accessibility).

Don't forget gnome-terminal which uses ctrl+page (up|down) :)

Thank you for bringing this bug to our attention. Unfortunately a paper cut should be a small usability issue that affects many people and is quick and easy to fix. I'm afraid this bug can't be addressed as part of this project.

This is more of a feature request.

A paper cut is a minor usability annoyance that an average user would encounter on his/her first day of using a new installation of Ubuntu 9.10.

For further info about papercuts criteria , pls read > https://wiki.ubuntu.com/PaperCut

Don't worry though, This bug has been marked as "invalid" ONLY in the papercuts project.
