no thumbnail view for select file

in software like mozilla firefox or image editors you have options like "select file to upload..." or "open file..." which open a menu where you select one or more pictures

when you do so in elementary OS, you don't have a thumbnail view (like this: http://ajaxuploader.com/images/Selecting-multiple-files.gif ), you only have a list view and you have to select the file to have a preview

Files doesn't control this, marking Invalid for Files
