time in tray icon breaks kde tray

Bug #255618 reported by Harald Friessnegger
Affects Status Importance Assigned to Milestone

Bug Description

on my kde desktop tray icons are ususally lined up in two rows to save some space. since gtimelog displays the time of the current task the icons are lined up in a row and need a lot more place.

an option to disable the system tray or an option to not display the time but only an icon would be really great.

here is a patch that adds a configuration option to not show the tray icon at all. closing gtimelog will not minimize to systray but quit the application.
