Preference setting cannot be saved

After setting the Plugins to activate Tomboy/Gnote plugin, the setting was saved in the same gnome session. But after restarting the computer, the plugin settings were back to none.

Can you elaborate a bit further? A step-by-step description of how to reproduce it could be helpful.

The preferrence windows setting was shown in the attached image.

After restarting, the "Notification Area" cannot be maintained.

The "Tomboy Notes" plugin remains marked though.

The same happens for me when enabling the "closed tasks remover" plugin. As soon as gtg is closed and reopened, the tick will be gone and the plugin deselected and therefore not loaded.
