System: Fedora 27, x86_64
GTG does seem to connect with RTM.
I tried 'xdg-open http://
However, even with multiple attempts and Remove/Install the app, it does not sync tasks with RTM.
It did work the very first time I tried it (after auth), but is failing after that..so I now can't see any tasks.

I had same symptoms. After disabling/renabling sync a few times, etc. I got some more specific symptoms:
Synchronization works only ONE way... from GTG into RTM - the opposite of the way I expected (& wanted, frankly ;).
Further, it looks like it sends the tasks multiple times... perhaps on each startup or sync???
Probably the plugin is old enough to use invalid RTM API features by now.
