Error: exception '9Exception'

After a typical upgrade it's not uncommon for my grub menu to get garbaged up with a bunch of unwanted entries, but grub-customizer take care of it, except now. I get the error seen in the attachment. If I click the "continue", the loading progress bar stops and the "List configuration" stays greyed-out. I can pull down menus and select things, but 'Quit' or the window close 'X' aren't obeyed.

I tried removing and re-installing grub-customizer but no change.

P.S. My grub still works to let me boot up, it's just full of junk.
