Bug Description

 Bug or "missing information bug"
Xubuntu 17.10 macbookproo 5.3

After upgrade of

grub-common
grub-efi
grub-efi-amd64
grub-efi-amd64-bin
grub2-common

With this version, 2.02~beta3-4ubuntu7.2 (Artful-Updates), the pacakges
doesn't respect debian policy that user adjustment goes into /etc/...
and system in /usr/...

Above packages works as intended with version 2.02~beta3-4ubuntu7 (Main)

Settings made in /etc/default/grub do not apply any longer, i.e. do not work.
I have a background image and fonts in /boot/grub/... after uppgrade neither
fonts nor background image affects grubs "look".
It is no longer possible to "adjust" grub in any way.
Reinstalling thru apt or manually do not change the look or the behavior of grub.

Grub looks like a terminal on a desktop (80x24), center positioned.

Solution

Downgrade packages to main version.

Further information
