This is not Grub Customizer specific. Grub Customizer does nothing more than running grub-mkconfig (a tool bundled with grub 2) and parsing its output to generate the list of operating systems.

You should have the same problem when not using Grub Customizer.

Daniel,

thanks for your answer

nevertheless, I think the "bug" is because of using Grub Customizer,
when not the list of operating systems is correct as I specified in the
post on forum francophone linux mint ;
https://www.forum-francophone-linuxmint.fr/viewtopic.php?f=11&t=4729

did you have a look at this post?

best regards

Damien

I saw your screenshot (can't read the french question/answers). There are no modifications done from Grub Customizer. I suppose you get the same naming when running `sudo grub-mkconfig -o /boot/grub/grub.cfg` while watching its output. So, no, I don't believe it's from Grub Customizer.

there is no problem on the kernel version Grub Customizer found.

nevertheless when running Grub Customizer it displays wrong version n°
of linux mint : 17.2 instead of 17.3 (as get with command lsb_release - a)
do you know why?
so I was "obliged" to change by hand this 17.2 to 17.3.....

ok, the output of grub-mkconfig/update-grub isn't really helpful.

Anyway I'm pretty sure the problem already existed before using Grub Customizer. There's no functionality so analyze operating systems. It completely depends on your grub2 scripts and these are shipped by your distribution.
