Bug Description

I recently updated my Ubuntu 12.04 LTS. From this I have encountered a couple of issues. One of the issues is that I could no longer open Grub-Customizer. I thought the best thing to do was to update the Grub-Customizer software to a latest stable version from the 4.0 branch.

The update was successful however I am still unable to open the program. I am presented with the authenticate pop-up but once I enter my password to whole process fails. I opened the program from the terminal to see what errors I was receiving.

** (grub-customizer:2880): WARNING **: Command line `dbus-launch --autolaunch=e4fed8556a51ae70e6757e9f00000013 --binary-syntax --close-stderr' exited with non-zero exit status 1: Autolaunch error: X11 initialization failed.\n

(grub-customizer:2880): Gtk-WARNING **: cannot open display:

I am not desperate to get this sorted as I am still able to access both Ubuntu and Windows. However it would be nice to get this fixed at some point. I also understand it may be an Ubuntu issue rather than a Grub-Customizer issue.

Any help would be grateful.

Regards,

Mike Hanson
