Bug Description

Binary package hint: groundcontrol

attempting to fix bug 579181 in dasher. Changed a file and tried to upload the fix, this error was returned: http://people.ubuntu.com/~alanbell/Screenshot-Bazaar%20Error.png Knitpack repository (...vcs-imports...) is not compatible with CHKInventoryRepository(...~alanbell...) different rich-root support.
I am unsure which repository needs upgrading or how to do it.

Martin, should we handle this in the UI somehow, or is there a way to work around it?

We should contact the bazaar team and ask them what exactly causes this issue. If it's something about the bzr version and it's something we can detect then I propose a button which replaces all others on detection of the fault to upgrade the local or remote branches at the stage of uploading.

is there something I can do to clarify which end is which version? I guess there are three 'ends', the branch I pulled the dasher code from, my local branch, and my PPA that I am pushing my fix to.

Alan: It's not possible to push to a PPA since a PPA contains installable deb files not bazaar branch files, they're completely different.

Think of bazaar as storage and ppa as publishing.
