Bug Description

Currently, the charm accepts a .zip archive resource containing plugins:

$ juju attach-resource graylog custom-plugins=./graylog-custom-plugins.zip

The .tar.gz format should be accepted too, as .zip is not widely available on every system.

attached is the updated patch for this proposal to support custom graylog plugins by attaching them as resource to the charm

But I don't see the definition of Juju resource in the current master of charm-graylog. Is this bug about a request adding a such feature or purely on zip vs tar?

Hello, Nobuto.

This bug is related to the time I was still working in Canonical so I don't have the background info in my hands anymore.

However, the problem is simple. The charm only accepts a ZIP format when running "juju attach-resource graylog custom-plugins". This bug is about accepting .tar.gz as well.

This charm is no longer being actively maintained. Please consider using the new Canonical Observability Stack instead.
