UI does not allow wildcarding of metrics with the return key

The trunk of graphite's webapp no longer allows you to use * to wildcard metrics. It attempts to autocomplete and even when you have the * in the field, hitting enter chooses one of the full metric names. If you use the mouse to click OK, it behaves as expected.

example using example-client.py:
click "graph data" in the composer UI
click "add" in the "graph data" window
type system.*
press return

expected result in text field: system.*
actual result in text field: system.load_15min

I'm using Firefox 3.5.3 on Fedora Core 11.
