Specifying bgcolors with #hex doesn't work.

Bug Description

http://graphite.readthedocs.org/en/latest/render_api.html says you can specify hex colors like so: &bgcolor=#2222FF But this does not work for me (the background is black). If you leave off the octothorpe and just do &bgcolor=2222FF, then it works.

I don't know if the docs or the implementation is wrong, but they don't match. :-)

as '#' in an URL is the seperator for the fragment to display, you have to encode the '#' to '%23' (&bgcolor=%232222FF)

IMHO the doc is wrong as the given example uses chars, that have to be encoded to work properly
