Bug Description

it would be a big improvement if the full help, including the processor/instruction reference could be directly integrated into gnusim, so that it's directly and easily available, i.e. via a separate tab

a good number of pretty comprehensive 8085 asm examples can be obtained from http://ssit.edu.in/dept/assignment/8085labmanual.pdf

all the best

For folks who understand German, you might want to check out the German wikipedia entry on the 8085, it's really very good and extensive:

I think it would be a good idea to copy and paste these links into the readme/asm-guide.txt files within the doc folder, this might provide good pointers for new users

Links should also be added to the web reference: http://gnusim8085.sourceforge.net/doc/asm-guide.html

all these links should probably be added to a special wiki page?

or at least to some sort of "help" dialog, and possibly also to the plain text docs

this would be particularly important for the win32 binary, because the documentation avialable isn't really properly embedded or accessible, in fact it's even using file extensions that are non-standard and cannot even be opened with standard viewers.

Directly integrating the docs would be a very good thing to do

here's another nice file that shows the opcode equivalents for each supported mnemonic:

here's an excellent and freely available ebook, that you may want to add to your resources, and possibly link to from the help entry, it's very comprehensive (1000+ pages):

it would be very cool if we could find a comprehensive and freely available (i.e. GPL'ed) ebook on 8085 assembly, simply because we would be allowed to include this book as a PDF file with the simulator, this would be a complete learning package then.

There are so many freely available 8085 resources online, maybe we can get someone to provide their permission to include such a reference with the simulator? I mean this is open source and it wouldn't really be necessary to come up with our reference manual because there are so many in existence already.

Just improving the help integration and providing an 8085 reference manual with the simulator would make gnusim8085 a pretty complete learning package indeed!

In the meantime, providing the links mentioned here via some form of "help" dialog would probably be a fairly good compromise.

my suggestion is to take all those links and add them to the GNUSim8085 wiki, that would be a very simple thing to do and it would already improve the situation
