Bug Description

It would be nice to have an option to allow us to run the 8085 asm program in 'slow mode' and be able to do a fast check of the program execution flow, without having to use step by step option.

Fernando, what purposes do you think running the simulator in "slow mode" could possibly serve?

Well, right after posting the feature request, I thought that it didn't make much sense, heh. I was just used to this functionality, which is provided by another 8085 simulator for windows, also my teacher used this option to quickly verify the program 'flow', and just checked the results from the memory table. (http://img263.imageshack.us/img263/541/sim8085hn1.jpg ) That's why I proposed the Inspection table for memory and IO ports values.

yes, something that would allow for setting how many cycles/instructions per second is often also offered by other sims

while this functionality is in fact also provided by several other simulators, one has to keep in mind that any time-critical code making certain assumptions (i.e. timing routines) would no longer work as expected in slow motion mode, so while I can see the possible benefits of having this available, it would probably make sense to explicitly point this issue out to users by printing a corresponding note to the log window, possibly even highlighted using a corresponding color.

this would still be useful to have, for example to watch your program run in some sort of "slow motion" mode, ideally users would be able to dynamically change the simulation speed at runtime.

You could simplify have an optional delay field, so that users can specify a configurable delay between each step.
