can't add the gnomenu to the pannel afer installed

I just installed gnomenu in my laptop (ubuntu 11.04),but I can't add it to the pannel ,because I can't find it in "add to pannel“ menu.

GnoMenu is not compatible with unity or Gnome 3 and currently not being
actively developed.

I'm running Xubuntu 12.04 and I have this issue too.
