Bug Description
Environment: Ubuntu 24.04
Steps to reproduce
- Have an app running in background that receive system notification: thunderbird, telegram, skype, slack, etc
- Receive a new message
- A system notification is generated and the badge on application icon in sidebar or dock appear or increase
- Open the application to read the message
Expected result
- System badge will disappear since the message has been opened
Actual
- Only way to dismiss the badge is to open notification panel and remove notification for that specific application
