Bug Description

Icons, and things in the dropdown settings sometime disappear, (see screenshots) : http://imgur.com/a/EPoYU
This happens after waking up from sleep and can be temporarily fixed by pressing alt+f2 and typing r

I don't know whether or not this is a xorg bug or a gnome bug.

Thank you for taking the time to report this bug and helping to make Ubuntu better. The issue you are reporting is an upstream one and it would be nice if somebody having it could send the bug to the developers of the software by following the instructions at https://wiki.ubuntu.com/Bugs/Upstream/[Project_Name]. If you have done so, please tell us the number of the upstream bug (or the link), so we can add a bugwatch that will inform us about its status. Thanks in advance.

Any updates on this? Can someone reproduce it? It happens pretty random for me.

It's quite inconsistent for me as well, but it doesn't happen on fedora 23, which has the same major gnome version, 3.18, so it's probably an issue with the guys at ubuntu gnome and not upstream, although i have heard of arch users having this problem.
