Bug Description

I understand that in Unity 8 there is a going to be a new slick looking 3D application switcher (http://www.omgubuntu.co.uk/2015/06/ubuntu-unity-8-desktop-window-switcher), now, I don't know if there are plans to do something similar in GNOME, but I think we definitely need to catch up with what will be the latest in terms of the application switcher which is quite basic at the moment. So obviously something not exactly the same as the Unity 8 one, but the application switcher definitely needs an upgrade, maybe we could have it so that it opens the Activities Overview upon using the normal 'ALT + TAB' command and then allows you to switch between the applications in 3D while providing other options which would be provided in the Activities Overview or something. Just an idea, but I think that we definitely need to upgrade our application switcher because we don't want to get behind with the times with it.
