Bug Description

Hold down the volume-up key on your laptop. If you don't release immediately when the volume reaches max then the overshoot animation is played several times. This is also true with volume-down.

+ notify-osd 0.9.24-0ubuntu1 (karmic)

Easily duplicated, and looks quite ugly. Debouncing should be possible - however I'm not sure what app the bug should be filed against, seeking mirco's input on that.

gnome-settings-daemon is the one responsible. So if g-s-d detects the user holding down the volume-up/down key, it should not trigger another notification again. Fixing this in g-s-d will also help with solving LP: #367049

Reassigning this to g-s-d

affects: notify-osd → gnome-settings-daemon
