gnome-screenshot did only take empty wallpaper

The screenshot tool shot the empty wallpaper only, does not matter to press the print key or alt-print for just the active window. Using selected area from the gui results into a snippet of the wallpaper behind the required window. The upper panel as plank cannot be photographed, only the piece of the active wallpaper behind appear in preview and file.
