Include big analog clock as screensaver

This is a feature request, not a bug report.

A big analog clock would be both useful and low on resources, which makes it a perfect screensaver for a lot of people. If this would be available, I would no longer use the blank screensaver.

I've seen such a screensaver somewhere before, I think it was in KDE, but I'm not sure.

Anyone who implements this gets my eternal gratitude!

hello,
i've been looking for a way to just copy the clock.kss file from the kde subdirectory into the gnome screensaver subdirectory but getting nowhere. i corresponded with the author of the screensaver a year or so ago, but i no longer have his email. maybe he could port the screensaver into gnome?

i agree it's one of the more useful screensavers out there. it's nice to look at all your pictures in a subdirectory, but the random generator doesn't do a v. good job of randomizing. and the clock is visible on the screen from quite a distance.

You could try T3D from xscreensaver-data-extra. It not exactly big and clear, but it is better than nothing...

A digital clock style screensaver can be done with gltext - see http://ubuntuforums.org/showthread.php?t=266124

But an analog clock like KDE's would be nice....

Command line options were implemented a little while ago.
You can fix the clock on the center of the screen:
clock --fix-clock (or clock -f)
Edit clock.desktop for your choice.

I didn't know how to make XLIb (xscreensaver) program, so I waste too much time on googling.

Hi Linux,
I am using ubuntu since ubuntu 7 was launched,
know i am using ubuntu 10.04,
i am facing problems due to some bugs,
If I login to my account and if I switched to another user,
and if i switch to my account-what ever work i am doing is totally gone, as if i have logged in freshly,
also many times when i switch back to my account-i am logged of automatically asking me to login again,
i would like to know whether this is a BUG or the Installation problem ?
and how can i solve it
I am using a computer with Intel DualCore Processor, Intel 865 Motherboard, 1GB RAM, 160GB HDD ,
