Bug Description

The gnome-screensaver wants me to enter my password. I did, however, configure my fingerprint reader to let me authentificate. It works with sudo or gdm, but not with g-ss.

muelli@xbox:~$ apt-cache policy gnome-screensaver
gnome-screensaver:
  Installed: 2.22.2-0ubuntu3
  Candidate: 2.22.2-0ubuntu3
  Version table:
 *** 2.22.2-0ubuntu3 0
        400 http://de.archive.ubuntu.com intrepid/main Packages
        100 /var/lib/dpkg/status

I expected g-ss to accept my fingerprint.

the pam module should handle that, are you still seeing the issue with intrepid?

yes. My PAM configuration looks like this:
muelli@xbox:/tmp$ egrep -v ^# /etc/pam.d/common-auth

auth sufficient pam_thinkfinger.so
auth [success=1 default=ignore] pam_unix.so try_first_pass nullok_secure
auth requisite pam_deny.so
auth required pam_permit.so
auth optional pam_ecryptfs.so unwrap
muelli@xbox:/tmp$

I can confirm that gnome-screensaver does not accept fingerprints.

After I enabled pam_thinkfinger module, login/gdm/sudo password prompts changed to "Password or swipe finger", but in screensaver it still reads "Password", localized, and does nothing if I swipe my finger.
