Bug Description
Binary package hint: gnome-panel
I wanted a timer applet.
First I tried right clicking on the panel and adding an applet to see if it was there already. It wasn't. It would be really nice if there was some sort of "get additional panel applets" button here. At the very least, I should've been pointed to Applications-
Typing "timer" into that, however, didn't give me what I wanted either - just a bunch of unrelated timers.
It turns out that we do have a package that's exactly what I want, timer-applet, however I had to manually install it after doing a synaptic search to find it.
So, this is a wishlist - I want an easy way for us to list various installable panel applets and provide them specially to the user directly in the Add to Panel dialog.
