Bug Description
Binary package hint: gnome-panel
If you don't have the panel expanded, and you try to set the position to Top, Bottom, Left or Right, the panel will be positioned at random.
Currently you have to expand the panel first, then set the position, then uncheck the expand feature to get the correct panel position.
