Bug Description
i am using Natty (11.04) with unity interface on an Asus k50IJ. i am having a problem with gnome alsa mixer. at startup, the 'front' in alsa mixer is mute (at zero). when i move it up, the sound comes out as normal. but, while playing video or audio, the 'front' again comes down to zero when 'PAUSE' or 'STOP' button is pressed (whichever player i use). to hear sound, i have to scroll it up again.

Can't reproduce here, can you give some more info on what soundcard it is your using, do you have pulseaudio running etc?
