Hello all:

Black rectangular screen in synaptic package manager after giving a package search.. I am using ubuntu gutsy with all the updates installed until the time the bug was reported.

System specs:

Intel PD 3GHz
512 MB DDR2 Ram
Intel GMA 950 Graphics controller.

I've also had this problem with all gnome drop down menus on my panels

Also i forgot to mention I am using Debian Sid

It may be related to compiz, though I can't be certain as I only used gnome for about 2 minutes before enabling compiz since that was the primary reason that I installed gnome was to use compiz with it
