Bug Description

by default "print screen" and "media play" are assigned specific actions. I can assign these to "custom shortcuts" but then the key doesn't do anything.

How to reproduce. -- an example to reassign print screen. The same thing would happen if we reassigned media play instead. I haven't tested other reassignments.

1) validate that the shortcut key is working by default.
Click print screen. You should see the "Save screenshot" window.

2) reassign a different action to this key.
super-> type "keyboard" -> open the keyboard window -> click on the shortcuts tab.
click custom shortcut from the left nav in that window -> click the + at the bottom of the right pane

a dialog asking for the name and command appears.

for name type: screenshot by area
for command type: gnome-screenshot -a
click the "apply" button.

select the the row for the new shortcut just added by clicking on it. This will higlight the row.
click the word "disabled" on the right side. the words "New Shortcut" will replace the disabled word

Hit the "Print Screen" key on your keybaord. a window will appear with the title "The shortcut 'print' is already used for 'take a screenshot." Click the button reassign in the bottom right.

Close the "keyboard" window.

3) Test the newly assigned key (it will fail)

Hit the "Print Screen" key on your keyboard. That should bring up a set of cross-hairs to capture a screenshot of a specific area. Instead it does nothing.

4) Make sure the command works (i.e. that this is a problem with the shortcut not with the screenshot program)

Alt-F2 -> type "gnome-screenshot -a" and then enter

Notice that your cursor immediately changes to cross hairs and if you select an area the screenshot window appears.
