Bug Description

we don't actually use the timestamp part of incoming objects. no real point in computing and saving it.

If you talk about the filename, this was added to make it easier for operations that browse the directory to have an idea of when was sent the timestamp.

yes, i am. not sure how useful is it to know when something was written? especially if it can't be sorted on.
